Sewage runoff is one of the main contributors to the pollution of the river, millions of gallons of raw sewage get ejected into the Hudson river annually. Discharging sewage into the river can have negative consequences such as lowering the water quality, making it inhabitable for aquatic life. Our research will provide insights to how pollution impacts certain organisms (specifically, Grass Shrimps), which can encourage individuals to take steps to reduce pollution.
